It is tiny and it isn't practical for dispensing salt and pepper. My mom was at my place as it arrived and I handed it to her as she seemed to be more impressed with it than I was - she also so far has used it as a decorative piece. Unless you want a decoration, I do not recommend, unless you're buying it for less than 4 bones. Cheers...
