I can wear them w skirts w/o shame, and yet they feel like reasonable shoes, not pain inducing fashion shoes. Okay; they're not *that* fashionable. But I spend all day on my feet, and these are great! They felt tight at first, but over 2 - 3 wearings have loosened up just enough. Of course, everyone is different, but I recommend tese.

Unfortunately I am between sizes for the European sizing (37 -38). I normally wear a US 7. They are not particularly wide, so if you have narrow to regular size feet the 37 should be fine. I had to go up to a 38 and add a little pad inside the shoe. Overall, good quality shoe!

Answer If you are closer to the 7.1/2 I would say order the 39.
