Verified Buyer Reviewed by Up North in God's country from Minnesota on Wednesday, November 5, 2014These are beautiful boots. Classic construction and materials. Will become favorites.
They promise to be light and comfortable. They are not water proof, nor high tech, just beautifully made with great materials.
It will be interesting to see how long the bottoms last, they are the soft rubber which will wear with time, but the beauty of this boot is you can can resole with your choice of tread next time. At the price you can purchase these from STP, you would be hard pressed to do any better. Thanks STP for making these affordable.
Reviewed by MD from Minnesota on Thursday, May 1, 2014These boots are equal parts handsome and comfortable. The construction quality is very impressive, and it was really very difficult for me to even see why my pair was designated "Factory 2nds". Breaking these boots in was not difficult, either, as I experienced minimal discomfort during my first day of usage. I found this particularly impressive considering the thickness of the leather and the good quality of the canvas used in the construction of these boots. Overall, I simply cannot imagine anyone being dissatisfied with these boots, even at full MSRP price. If you can find and utilize a coupon code the value is only amplified. Hands down, these are the best boots I have ever owned, and I expect to use them for years to come.
Reviewed by Tim from North Carolina on Thursday, October 3, 2013These are really terrific boots. Lightweight, sturdy and American-made. They were factory seconds, but the defects were so minor (some scratches on the toe) I wouldn't have noticed them if I hadn't known. The leather has a tinge that's almost reddish, which the picture doesn't quite capture, but with time, wear and oiling, I'm sure they'll darken.
Reviewed by KPS from New England on Tuesday, October 1, 2013I am normally a size 11.5. The description said the boots run large so, order a size smaller I ordered a size 10 as it was the only size that close to what would fit. They truely do run a size smaller and fit fine. The fit is excellent and the boots feel great. They aren't inuslated so they are comfortable for 3 seasons, unlike most boots which are hot most of the time. The crepe rubber soles are very light and give good cushioning, although I wonder how long they will last. All in all, a very comfortable and well made boot at a great price.
Reviewed by Charles from Golden Valley, MN on Saturday, August 31, 2013I purchased this boot and I am very happy I did, it is very stylish and comfortable. I was unsure about sizing as the recommendation is to size down one whole size, I took a chance and went down a half size and the fit was perfect. For reference I measure 11D on the Brannock and most of my shoes are 11 but the 10.5 was correct for me. As these are seconds, I looked hard for a flaw on mine and I couldn't find any so I am extremely happy. Thanks STP!
