The fabric is much softer than the Carrhart t-shirts, maybe those last longer but they are way too scratchy for my delicate skin. ;) Seriously these are really nice, buy some you'll love them. Size is pretty accurate, the Carrharts (spelling?) seem to run a little big, these are pretty accurate. I'm 6'2" of 225 of pure pudding and the XL fits fine.
