Verified Buyer Reviewed by thomas from oregon on Tuesday, November 18, 2014A little uncomfortable while breaking in I found using duct tape wrapped around my sock on the area its hurting while breaking them in works nicely. So far very sturdy shoes will see if the test of time stands tall on these shoes
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sara in Atlanta from Atlanta on Tuesday, October 28, 2014I purchased these for my son-in-law. He has been very happy with these boots. He wore them several times in rainy weather and his feet stayed dry. He also told me these are the most comfortable boots he has worn. They are also made in the USA.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by epluribusunum from utah on Wednesday, August 13, 2014Great fit. I ordered my exact size not knowing if the fit would be slightly larger or smaller. It fit perfect. It's a thick rugged boot that is very durable. Extremely pleased and will look for other wolverine products in the future.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ellervator from Pennsylvania on Wednesday, April 23, 2014These are some rugged boots at a great price! I have a tendency to destroy boots that usually last other people a lot longer. Only have a few weeks of wear out of them so far but I'm convinced these will outlast many others on the market. The downside is they take a while to break in, which for work boots is a good thing. Boots that are mushy right from the start will only continue to do so, the Northmans are comfortable right out of the box just really stiff.
Reviewed by Industrial Worker from Washington on Friday, March 21, 2014I am a huge advocate of Dr Marten and Caterpillar Boots but these beat them out. No break in period necessary. I work on on ships and subs, deck plates and concrete all day long and my feet feel like they are literally in pillow lined boots. They are soft and comfortable inside, yet give the structure and stability a good boot needs to support feet. They have withstood hard wear and tear and feel new every day. I like to have more than one pair of boots to rotate out with and I will be getting another pair of these to use. If you are not accustom to the taller boot it may take a couple weeks for your shins and ankles to break in the leather but it is well worth it.
Question “I normally wear a 10-W (Asolo) but I bought a pair of these a month or so ago and had to send them back because they were too big. I would like to try again because I need steel toes for work but am unsure about sizing. The blogs say they can run narrow so would a 9.5-W still be too big? Any thoughts? ”
Answer If this helps-I bought a 10M and would normally wear a 10 in work boots & hiking boots, 10.5 dress shoe and 11 in Asics running shoe. All normal width. I like the fit.
