Rugged boot, clunky at first but very warm. I ordered 91/2 wide, the left rubbed the ankle, the right was too tight by my little toe and hit my shin in an awkward way when I walked so they will be returned.

I bought these boots because I needed a heavy duty-ish boot that I could wear on the sidewalk, out in muck, or also support me in the woods. I have balance issues and needed boots that were made for women but also would not constrict or suffocate my ankles and feet, and mainly, support me.
The combination of nylon and rubber are great, it supports the integrity of he boot and I can breathe. These are comfortable anywhere from warm weather into the very cold winter months of the Eastern US.
In short, these boots are irreplaceable and yes, I would recommend hem to a friend.

These are nice, lightweight hunting boots. I need a boot with what New Balance calls a "SL-2 last" that includes a normal/narrow heel and a wide toe box. Some other brands of shoes such as Merrell and Salomon seem to have the SL-2 last inherent in their design, but unfortunately these Wolverine Panthers in the M width do not. They are very tight in the toe area, and my left middle toe was numb within seconds of putting my foot into the boot. I do not need a W width, as that would cause heel slippage, but these boots are available in W if that is what one would need. Sadly, these are going back.
