Just what the doctor ordered By IronHornet from Illinois on 01/27/2009 Pros: Attach Securely, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Deep Snow, Off Trail, Rolling Terrain Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I picked these up to get out in the rough to shoot nature photo's. Before heading out for the first time I was concerned that I may have to use poles to get around (as per the guidelines from RedFeather). Hauling a camera on a monopod didn't leave my hands fee to bring them along, so I went without them. Really didn't need them whatsoever, they (snowshoes)were very sure footed and quite comfortable to move about in. Spacing your feet slightly is all you need to do as well as be mindfull of the increased size of your footprint. These are a blast and help lower the heart rate quite a bit when going through deep snow as well as raise the pace. Gaiters would be a nice addition to this setup as the backs of your pants get pretty powdered. Highly recommended.
