Closeouts. It's always a good idea to layer in a little warmth, and nothing does it better than the down insulation inside Woolrich's Alpine vest, with shapely princess seams and adjustable back snaps to cinch up the waist.

I was skeptical based on reviews, but the price was awesome. Yes, there is a slight peplum effect when the snaps are tightened, but we're not talking about the "Gone With the Wind" bustle that I feared. It's becoming less noticeable as the down settles too. It's a nice weight, nice soft fabric, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the black lined in cheerful pink. I wasn't sure about the big pockets in the front, but I've found them very useful without adding much bulk.

I ordered this in size medium to replace a vest of another brand. For reference I am 5'8.5" and 125-130# and the fit of this was ample if not a size too large. The snaps on the back permit some adjustment but when I made the greatest adjustment to bring the vest in at the waist the vest looked as it I had a bustle. I believe a size small will be the answer for me. The quality and appearance of this vest are excellent. I ordered the black vest with the bright fuchsia lining and it looked and felt wonderful on. The pockets snap closed and the garment, like all of my experience with Woolrich products, is very favorable. This will go back for a smaller size of the same, if it is available.

This is a great midweight vest. Fantastic metal zipper, smooth with no catching... the collar is NOT too high, very comfortable around the neck. The lower scoop in the back provides extra coverage at waistline. Highly recommend this vest for people like me who get a chill and enjoy keeping their core warm

The vest's color is a very pretty color poppy, it looks feminine and vibrant. It fits very well through the chest and arm holes. I am 5'3" and 117lbs and it zips with comfort around my chest-(34B) The fabric is nice and soft and I wear with the snaps in back on the tighter option to create a "waist". Unfortunately, this creates a rather pronounced peplum effect at the rear. that is not necessarily flattering on me. The back dips down low and kind of juts out, perhaps it would not be an issue on a taller gal. Nevertheless, I am keeping the vest as I mostly wanted it for working around the house as a little warm up when I have the thermostat turned a little lower. If you like deep pockets, you'd like- the front two are spacious, there are no interior pockets.
