The satin to the knees makes these pants very warm. I run hot, so a colder-blooded person would probably be cosy, but for me, I'll have to wait until mid-Winter to make the most of these well-constructed trousers.

I'd been looking for some wool trousers/pants for a while and found these on the Woolrich website. Sierra Trading Post were the only company I could find who were happy to ship internationally and at a great, discounted price too. These will be used for winter hiking and general cold weather wear, but I love the vintage style and cut too. This style of pants are quite unusual over here in the UK, but I like to be different.
Very comfortable, with the polyester lining adding an extra thermal layer; should wick well too. Pretty true to size, quite loose fitting around the leg, maybe because they are a shade too big for me; unfortunately 36" was the smallest waist size on offer; I could really have done with a 34". Braces/suspenders will solve the problem in the short term but I may get them taken in. Can't tell you how durable these are as I've not had the chance to test them yet, but I'm looking forward to getting out onto the hills in them.

Good medium thickness wool pants. Make sure you order a size up unless you are slim. These pants don't take into account the new typical American shape.

About Woolrich

The esteemed Woolrich clothing company has come a long way since the early 1800s, when founder John Rich sold socks to logging camps from the back of his mule cart. By 1830, Rich had built America’s first woolen mill in Pennsylvania, and it wasn’t long before Woolrich blankets and clothing became a household name. Over the years, this trusted American brand has enhanced its woolens and other fabrics with contemporary textures, dying techniques and washes, all designed to improve performance and comfort for the modern consumer. Today, after nearly two centuries of putting customers first, Woolrich bedding and clothing is still beloved by those who enjoy the great outdoors and all those who appreciate quality.
