It is not too large to wear as is, but has enough room to layer a tshirt or light weight turtle neck under it. And the cute wooden buttons make it stand out a bit as something more than just a casual shirt.

I like the pattern in the shirt, and I like the woolrich brand, they make nice shirts and sweaters. The loops instead of button holes are a little tedious, so I undo the top buttons, and put this shirt on over my head. It is a pretty shirt, and the sleeves are long enough. I wish I would have bought the other color as well, but it is no longer available in the XL.
