Closeouts. Made of soft, high-pile fleece that cuts through chills, Woolrich's High Point sherpa jacket features flattering princess seams and a fit that is relaxed enough to allow for plenty of layering options.

The high-pile fleece is soft - but the lining isn't. Lining is stiff and doesn't shape. Also, although I have a closet full of Woolrich XLs, this XL was a good two inches short in circumference. Not for me.

The horizontal cut across the front of this jacket lies a little high, so if you are large chested it will bisect you instead of hitting at the high waist. Not as shapely as I would have liked which, combined with the thickness of the fabric, made me feel frumpy. Also, the inside of this jacket is scratchy knit, not soft like fleece. It would have been nicer fully lined. Warm though, and seems like it would be durable. It does have a beautiful antique copper-y zipper pull - a nice detail. I returned it though. :-(

This jacket is exactly what I wanted. Styling is attractive and feminine. I ordered brown which is a rich chocolate. Outer fleece looks and feels like a soft, stretchy wool. Inner fabric is smooth with a comfortable lining at the collar. Jacket has attractive details such as stitched-down seams, feminine fit and matching brown piping. I particularly like the curved bottom hem in front. Zipper doesn't seem to stick (so many coats have this problem) and garment came through washer and dryer with no shrinkage. There's enough room to wear a couple of layers underneath. This was definitely a good buy for me.

Great fleece with a inner pocket for a phone, wallet, music player. I have two of the vests and wear them all the time at work both for the warmth and the style and the pockets. The colors are nice and the fabric and zip sturdy. I plan to wear the jacket (which as thumb holes at the ends of the sleeves) in the fall and the fog in SF.

I've used this jacket for running errands on milder winter days here in the Midwest. With a sweater layered under it it's just what I wanted. I should note, however, that I did exchange it for a larger size so that it fit better with a heavy sweater under it.
