The pattern is woven and not printed. A membrane layer is bonded to the inside of the fabric. In all, a great jacket for the price. Not intended for heavy-duty use but fine for day-to-day. Seems cut smaller than expected, but it still fits...and my daughter loves the color!

I wasn't out in the rain for an extended period of time but for the amount of time I was outside, I was pleased with how well it kept me dry. I do wish it was longer in length and that the hood was deeper, it just barely covered my hair, but overall I think it will be good for quick runs between the car and the house or the building I work in. I'm glad I purchased it at a clearance price. If I had paid the original full price, I would have sent it back for I don't think there is enough jacket for that price. It fit true to size and the orangish color is attractive.
