I first ordered the white so I could have a versatile color, but I really wanted the red for a holiday color, so when it finally became available, I ordered it too. They are warm, true to color and have a sporty fit. I live in the bay area in Northern California and vests are perfect for fall and spring. I am currently about a size 6-8 on top (recently had a baby) and I could zip this up just fine, even over my pouch, so they are definitely cut to layer which is what I like. A great deal with a STP coupon and I am a happy camper!

Reviewed by Extradish from Kalamazoo on Monday, October 01, 2012I had a black quilted outer vest from Lands End that I wore a lot that I unfortunately left in a hotel room, and I have been trying to replace it. It was great for traveling, esp. in spring and fall. This vest is good quality, but definitely more bulky than I like (think down jacket) and it is also fussy around the neck with a lot of fabric. The fit is also kind of shapeless. That said, I decided to keep it because it seems very warm and is also lightweight. It is advertised as being packable...there is an inside pocket that you can apparently pack it into, but I imagine it would come out pretty wrinkled, and I don't imagine I will ever use that feature. For the price, it was a good value, but I'm not going to love it like I did the vest I lost. More sensible than stylish.
