I like wearing vests Fall through early Spring. I can wear this vest while traveling in the car, but it is not too warm to wear inside. It dresses up a plaid flannel or Pendleton shirt. Perfect "cover" for me.

My routine dress style is western casual. Cowboy boots, jeans, western belt/buckle, cotton button down shirt. I wanted a vest to wear with or without a tie to dress up that look a bit. This vest fills the bill though I would like to have it in brown or black or both.

Okay, she was across the room, but when I walked in wearing this, a seamstress and costume maker did compliment me on my nice vintage find.
My other Woolrich vest is a heavier winter wool. I get so many nice comments on it and I enjoy it so much (extra pockets, extra warmth with minimal bulk) I decided to give this lighter weight vest a try. Glad I did. Like my other vest, I can saw wood, make a mess, dust my self off and go out in public looking put together (or even change my shirt and pants, put the vest back on and look well-dressed).
This garment will never be mistake for a suit vest, but the nice herringbone and elegant styling will not identify itself as a work vest either. It's a everyday garment.
