But living here in sunny southern CA I don't think I'll use it enough to justify the price. It's just a little to retro for me.

The only suggestion I would make is that Woolrich add a bit more spandex to the fabric so that it keeps its shape better. I tend to push up my sleeves, and I noticed that when I pulled them down, they had stretched out of shape. Otherwise, these are great sweaters.

Reviewed by Traveller from Boulder City, NV on Friday, February 22, 2013I bought two of these for layering. They wash well. The necks is not too tight or high, the fabric is not scratchy or too heavy, and they are long enough to tuck into jeans to keep my back covered and warm as well.

The wool is soft yet not flimsy, pleasant to touch, non-itchy, seams look good. Unfortunately there is a major flaw - the neck is VERY tight. These two sweaters are XL, somewhat larger than I really need, yet the necks are so tight that I hardly could pull them on (my neck is 14" as measured. They have to go back.
