I love the classic look and detailing on this sweater. Super cute Christmas tree detail, ribbon trim and zipper pull. However, sizing was a bit of a challenge for me. I wear a 10-12, am petite and somewhat large busted; the medium petite fits like an 8 or a small 10. The large petite is a roomy 12, but the sleeves were quite a bit longer than the medium. Still trying to decide which size to keep.

This is a classic frumpy old lady Christmas sweater, but is actually a really nice fine gauge knit and very nicely finished. I bought it for the cheap sale price because I needed a cheesy Christmas sweater for office holidays -- it would actually be really great if it came in solids. I like it, but it's not fashionable, for sure.

I ordered this sweater because I love boiled wool, and because I was so happy to finally see clothing in petite sizes being offered again at Sierra Trading Post. I plan to wear it for the holidays, so I can only rate it for size and look, which are fantastic! It's just what I wanted. The only drawback is the thin fabric . I was expecting a more substantial sweater, even though it says "fine gauged". But it's still lovely and fits nicely under a coat.

About Woolrich

The esteemed Woolrich clothing company has come a long way since the early 1800s, when founder John Rich sold socks to logging camps from the back of his mule cart. By 1830, Rich had built America’s first woolen mill in Pennsylvania, and it wasn’t long before Woolrich blankets and clothing became a household name. Over the years, this trusted American brand has enhanced its woolens and other fabrics with contemporary textures, dying techniques and washes, all designed to improve performance and comfort for the modern consumer. Today, after nearly two centuries of putting customers first, Woolrich bedding and clothing is still beloved by those who enjoy the great outdoors and all those who appreciate quality.
