This is a very nice shirt for the price. I normally wear size large or XL t-shirts and I bought two of these in size L and was happy with the fit, which I would describe as "athletic" (as opposed to baggy/casual). It is wide enough in the chest and long enough that it will stay tucked in if desired. It is a tiny bit scratchier against bare skin than my Icebreaker merino wool T-shirt, but otherwise comparable in weight, stretch, and cut (though my Icebreaker is a size XL which fits almost identically to my size L Terramar). While I don't like any wool shirts for strenuous exercise since they don't dry as fast as synthetics, they can't be beat for overall comfort and amazing resistance to body odor for extended periods. The price is truly a steal for a great product. I am subtracting one star because the color selection is sort of poor and it is not quite a soft as some other next-to-skin wools out there. But for the price, fit, cut and comfort, these is a minor quibbles.

3 vastly different uses for this shirt:1. I wore this shirt to "L'espalier" with slacks the day it arrived in the mail.2.I wore this shirt in temperatures in the high 80's with humidity at 78%.3. I wore this shirt as a baselayer while skiing.*L'espalier is the second best restaurant in Boston.

My friends have more expensive brand versions of this shirt made out of the same material. It's fantastic. I wore it for 3 days straight and even though I smelled bad the shirt didn't. I stuffed it in a dry sack for 3 days and it still didn't smell. I layered mine with a lightweight merino wool sweater and was fine in high 40's low 50's. Mine washes fine in cold water and line dried, it smells bad when it comes out of the washer, but after it dries it has no smell. The white/natural color is partially see through if that bothers you.

This was a great t-shirt until I washed it. Followed wash and dry instructions, but came out of the dryer looking shriveled up and pocky. Completely un-wearable--in some places it about 1/3 of the size. I would recommend this as long as you only wash as you would a wool sweater--by hand and dry flat.

Merino wool is about the best thing to wick moisture yet hold body heat in.

The black color is great it comes out of the wash in great shape, does not need ironing. The port comes out of the wash all wrinkled. The sleves hems and the bottom hem are all wrinkled. I am sending these back.

Perfect for summers in damp, chilly Seattle. Comparable to smartwool --marginally (almost indetectably) more coarse. I literally wear one of these every day. They're also great for traveling (comfortable in the sticky heat of Washington D.C. in the summer). Wash 'em in the sink and they're dry the next day. At the end of a vigorous hike, run or bike ride they don't stink a bit. Awesome shirt. Wish I had a dozen of them.

Perfect weight for summer hiking or a late fall/early spring first layer. they fit close to the body without being a second skin. I ordered two of these in Medium, one in black and one in port. The black shirt is an absolute perfect fit;the port is ever so slightly larger in the neck and sleeve. Still both are well made and well worth the money.

When these shirts arrived, I was worried. They felt a bit scratchy and not like super soft merino wool I was hoping for. After washing and wearing these shirts, I've not worn another t-shirt! So far, our weather has ranged from hot to cold this late spring and this shirt has been perfect: in the heat its cool, in the mugginess before a spring shower, cool and then when the shower it, it kept me warm until the shower ended. I've been sleeping in it and it hasn't been too warm or too cool. I'm very pleased. I'd give it five stars but I worry that if i wash it in hot water its going to get too small. I bought this in large, even though I wear a medium, but it's true to size.
