My hubby has ONLY liked "Dickies" for the past 10 years but I bought this on sale so he'd have a long-sleeved coverall. He LIKES them (gasp!)! They are a thicker, warmer material than "Dickies" regular short-sleeve coveralls. Only thing is, he can't figure out what the tiny open pockets are, one ... Read More

I had read the other reviews regarding the corroded zipper and had hoped that I would be lucky - Oh how wrong I was. The zipper is completely corroded which prevents the jacket from opening at all. I am now the proud owner of a coverall that will never be functional.

Very nice, lots of useful pockets, washed and waxed zipper and it's fine.

The zipper and surrounding material is in tough shape. The zipper is so corroded that it barely works and the surrounding fabric was stuck to it. They are work coveralls and if they just save one pair of jeans they have paid for themselves though. It is a toss up. I wonder if the zipper will work for long with such corrosion.

A very high quality coverall but sizing is much too small.

The zipper was completely corroded and none functional. The cloth was also moldy. We are living in a drought so it likely happened well before shipping. It was a shame because it was well made and a great deal.

    • Answer Yes, I'm about the same size as you and M fits very well - not too big or loose.

    • Answer No, I believe you should get the large. I just checked the purchase I made last year. I bought two coveralls. One in a large and the other was a medium. The large fit a teenager that was a little over 6ft tall. They were big on him around the waist area, but in the couch they fit fine. The medium was for a kid who was about 5'5", and he had to roll up the pant legs. But the couch fit fine. That is important when buying coveralls or overalls. With overalls you can adjust the straps, but with coverall there is no adjustments at the shoulders, so bigger is best if you plan to use them for bending or kneeling. Also they are easier to get into. I am a costumer, what I did before I purchased the Sierra coveralls I went to my local store that sells the same design of coveralls and bought on pair in large. I tried them on the kids I needed to dress. I saw what sizes I needed, returned the coveralls to the store, and ordered from Sierra. The store wanted far too much for the same product, and Sierra's price was in the schools budget. So there you have it. Hope I helped.

    • Answer I think they (M) will work for you. I'm 5'9" and had to take 3' off the legs. I don't mind the the long arms.

    • Answer If you hover over "Sizes Available:", it shows sizes. For example M = 38-40, which is true to its size. I'm 40 and it's a good fit. It's comfortable to wear with jeans and long sleeve T-shirt/sweater on. But if you would want to add more layers, you will probably start feeling like a Michelin man.....

    • Answer I didn't see a size chart...my husband has always worn a large (42-44) in other coveralls, so that's what I ordered. He said they were a little tighter through the shoulders, but they would do, especially for that price. Hope this helps. Ellie

    • Answer Hi Holly,

I had a question about that also. This is what I did to solve the query. I bought a pair of coveralls at Orchard Supply. I bought the size I thought would fit the people I need them for. When I saw that the medium was too SHORT from the crotch to the shoulders I got a large, the second person fit great in the medium but we had to shorten the leg length. After I figured size I returned the expensive coveralls to the store. I know its a bit over the top, but the ones at Orchard cost $60 and we were on a tight budget. I work for a high school and I needed the coveralls for a school play.
I contacted the company and they didn't give me any true size numbers, so I had to get creative. I got the large for a kid who was 6ft tall and had a waist of 32". The large was for the tall guy, it was a bit wide in the shoulders and the waist, but it fit everywhere else. For coveralls getting a bigger size is better, depending on what you are using them for. Going under cars you want flexibility. If you are using them to cleaning, don't wear clothes under them, it get warm in there. But these are very good coveralls for the price. The zipper is a bit stiff at first, but just pull it away from the zipper cover and use a candle to wax the zipper, it helps. Also the fabric is heavy enough for the hard job. Hope I helped, have a great day.

    • Answer This item is sized according to chest size. In this case the M is chest 38-40 and it would probably be closest to fitting you length wise as well.
