This is not the real thing - the knife is light and the blade doesn't look solid. It will do for occasional cutting, but not your kitchen workhorse. Haven't tested the sharpener yet, so no comment on that one.

awesome knife. it's lightweight, so initially I thought " this is going back", but I decided to give it a try and it's a great knife. the sharpener is also a grea bonus, really can' say enough about it. lol, I work in a restaurant and I used it on everything. A+

Many other reviews said the knife was flimsy while some reviews raved about how sharp it was. It was both flimsy and sharp. I have only used it once because I opt to use my better quality knife which I purchased for less. Had I known just how flimsy this one was I probably wouldn't have purchased it so I'll just keep it as a spare when I have a guest or one of my kids come visit and wanting to help out in the kitchen. I'd recommend spending more on a better quality knife.
