    I ran in these for the first time the other day. They were comfortable and fit nicely. They are tight as I think they have to be in order to give you the support. So, in general, I am satisfied with them. But I am frankly not sure if they are any better than any other sock at supporting and protecting your feet and ankles. I have issue with my achilles tendons and I didn't really feel like these socks improved anything.

    I bought these for my son, a teenage varsity x-c runner. He said that they were a bit "weird" at first because of the arch support but when he wore them out to run 5 miles he really loved them. As a mom I can say that they wash and dry well.
