We had ordered a larger size for my son to grow into, but we mistakenly received the next size down. It fits him well, but he will grow out of it faster. Otherwise, the jacket is pretty nifty and it meets the cool factor for an 8 year old. The conversion into a backpack takes some practice to do quickly, but it presents the option of the kid carrying their own coat when they get too hot. It seems like a good product so far so I recommend it.

For my grandson who will need help figuring it out. It's great for camping, good looking, and backpack is handy.

The jacket feels one size smaller than marked. It is much heavier than a regular fleece-lined or down jacket (I mean it weighs more). It cannot be used instead of a backpack because when folded, the storage space becomes very small. Although my son was not happy with the jacket's weight, he decided to keep it because he thought that folding it into a backpack is fun and he wanted to amuse his friends.

This is one sweet jacket for your little Transformer loving guy or gal. Ultra high quality materials make for a unique piece of clothing. I think it does run narrow...a very athletic fit. Super cool for my Kindergartner who may wear it when its cool and then convert it into a pillow or backpack. Extremely easy to transform. I ordered several of these jackets...great deal. The black is awesome...the red is a little flat in color(not as vibrant as the photo, but still cute).

My boys love this jacket, I was hoping the backpack would be usable for school, however, the storage compartment is quite small. Easily changes from packpack to jacket, great for outings where weather changes from cool to warm. My boys love to use it in their "exploring treks".

Really interesting coat - converts from a coat to to a backpack to a pillow. High quality materials. We got 2 and have been complimented a least a dozen times. Very cool.
