Worthless on Hard Ice

Other reviewers seem to love these. ??? I live in the northeast and after snow, rain, then refreezing my driveway is a sheet of ice. I was excited about these, but they are useless. My first try was 13 degree temp. I might as well have had on regular shoes. I thought perhaps they'd dig in a little if the ice surface was warmer, so my next attempt was 33 degree temp. Just as worthless. Weight didn't make a difference either because my friend weighs 80 pounds more, and he was slipping just as much. They might be good on hard packed snow, but they are totally worthless on solid ice.
