    Bought these for my wife. She won't use them often, but the snowshoes and pole combination was a great value for the money so she could join me occasionally. I use ash snowshoes which are MUCH quieter than any aluminum snowshoe, but they are way more expensive for how often she will use these. The poles will be used more often for hiking. It was like buying poles and getting snowshoes thrown in for free.

    Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
    Wanting to be able to go walking during the winter I chose these shoes as they were providing the poles and carry bag along with a well known brand name. I am unable to offer usage advice as our recent snow was rained off but they look sturdy. Should they be as good as they look and serve (work) as well as Sierra Trading Post has they will be a winner.

    Bottom Line:
    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    Shoes look very nice and the combination with poles is very attractive. However the movable parts rub against the sides of the shoe. Used once for half an hour and needed to return noise very disturbing. Design needs improvement.
