Although it looks like a more expensive back country shovel at first glance, once you get your hands on this shovel you will see it is flimsier and the parts overall are loose fitting. Long term durability is suspect, but for occasional use or as a spare shovel in the car it is worth the price. Hacking through concrete-like avalanche debris? Maybe not.
