Zamberlan 155 Rica Plus Trail Shoes - Waterproof Gore-Tex® XCR® (For Women)

Since I'm planning on going on a backpacking trip the end of August and didn't have hiking shoes, I thought I should get some in time to break them in. The first time I wore these on a 4 mile walk, they felt great. They give good support and the Dijon mustard color doesn't make them look too utilitarian!

These seemed really well made and I was excited when I took them out of the box. I ordered per instructions on the website for size. They were way too small. my toes were touching the end. Returned, and didn't reorder because they also seemed narrow and my feet are wide.

Fit was perfect...no breaking in required.

I daily walk with my dog along a natural lake area. We head through tall grasses, sand, mud & uneven terrain. These boots are waterproof (due to advanced goretex lining)& keep my feet dry & warm. I live in north Florida & it DOES get cold here. Substantial but don't feel overly heavy, provide sure footing & comfortable out of the box. Fantastic value! You can't find quality boots from Italian mountaineering boot makers anywhere else at this price.

Sizing is dreadful! WAY too wide, WAY too big for sizing indicated. Need to order at least a full size smaller. And if you have average to narrow feet, forget it.

These are very durable. When I walk my dog, I don't have to worry about slipping and sliding.

Very comfortable and a great fit - I bought mine a full size smaller than I would normally wear (this is a model made for both men and women, so they would be bigger to start with), and they are perfect. Very happy with this purchase.
