Zamberlan Phenom Gore-Tex® Hiking Boots - Waterproof (For Men)

The primary reason I'm giving this a 4-star and not a 5-star rating is that they run very large. Zamberlan apparently translates US 12 as Euro 47. I typically wear US 12 or Euro 45, so when I ordered a 12 and got a 47 I was surprised. Swapping for the "11.5"/46 is better and the boot seems to mold pretty quickly and pretty well. I was pleasantly surprised to find them pretty set to go out of the box -- almost no break-in required. After two very rugged days on Colorado 14ers, I've been wowed by the sticky and rugged soles, especially given that the boot does not feel at all heavy. But I am a little disappointed to see some frayed stiching around the (rather beefy) cuffs already.

They feel good quality and solid. I broke them on a 4 mile hike near Seattle and they were quite comfortable and no hot spots. This week i will be doing the High Divide hike in the Olmpics and that wiull be the test.
