I tried on over 15 pairs of boots looking for a new pair for backpacking. These were by far the most comfortable. I had to order them 3 times though because the sizing is way off. They are very wide (good for my feet) and a full size too big. Once I got that dialed in I love them and my fussy feet have not even had one hot spot! Would have bought them at full price! I was hoping to find a lighter weight pair but these are stil lighter than many pairs I tried.

I took these out of the box and on a 30 mile hiking trip. They performed very well. Stable, comfortable, excellent traction and keeps out the moisture. Very pleased with the purchase.

In spite of the toe area being rather pointed, the boot was roomy enough for my bunions. The first time I wore them, the ground was very wet from rain and they proved to be waterproof.

I usually wear 9.5 wide or 10 regular. Ordered 9, they're perfect with medium-thick hiking socks. Strong support, superb traction, could use a bit more sole cusioning for longer backpacking trips but plenty good for 3 days. No blisters until my 4th trip-- got'em on back of ankles where I'm susceptible-- due to a tough uphill battle for 3 straight hours, and bushwhacking and scrambling on wet boulders for another 2. I'm very happy with them. But they do look kind of huge on my feet...
