I would recommend these to anyone. I had the pleasure of using these this ski season in Breckenridge. We had 2 days of sunshine and 3 days of snow with with less than desirable viability and had zero issue with these. Battery lasted the entire day and i will use these next season. By the way this wasn't my first trip snowboarding it was about my 18th time and these are by far the best goggle i've used my whole career. I've used oakley's, spys, smiths and various polarized lens. I would trade them all a pair of these.

Splurged and wanted to try them out. This is a big pair of goggles. The also have some weight to them and felt just a bit heavy on the face. HUD is nice and clear and out of the way and has a lot of functionality. I admit I was geeked out but that. The micro USB plug is covered by a rubberized cap which is sure to fail and let snow and water in. This biggest downside though is peripheral vision. You sacrifice at least a centimeter on each side for the battery and integrated display. This is probably not an issue if flying down the mountain solo/backcountry but sure to be an issue if you are having to watch your blind side while at the resorts.

This is a cool first generation attempt and it looks like Recon has adapted its technology in newer models, but the goggles themselves are the weakness...poor peripheral vision, too bulky and somewhat unreassuring durability of the strap assembly. Better visual field and less bulky, I would have kept them...
