    Cons:
    Not watertight
    Best Uses:
    Picnic or potluck carrier
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I know tiffens are not watertight, so I was not disappointed, but let others beware! That said, this is a great product--especially if you are trying to avoid plastic food containers. We packed it up with the ingredients for bahn mi and had people make their own sandwiches at a potluck--big fun!

Looks like it will last a long time, I wish you could use only one or two of the "layers" and still be able to seal the package together.

    Pros:
Easily Carried, Stacks well, Stainless Steel
    Cons:
    Can't microwave metal, Not watertight
    Best Uses:
    Camping, Food organization, Lunches, Snacks
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I noticed this on sale and was intrigued. Then, I saw an article in the Overland Journal about the history of the Tiffin containers and bought one. They date back many, many years and are currently are the main 'meal transport device' in India and Asia. I can understand why as it is a very compact, efficient design for carrying food. I haven't had the chance to use it much yet, but am planning on using it for an upcoming camping trip to Death Valley I also will be using it for lunches shortly and snacks for the kids in the truck. I can definitely see myself coming up with many ways to use this and possible purchase more in the future. Unfortunately, it is not watertight. I will use it mainly for dry goods. It would also be nice to be able to microwave it, but it is metal.
