I'm 5' 7" (5' 8" on a good day) and about 185 lbs. The length of the large was perfect, but it was a little snug in the chest/shoulder area. I would say I have an aged-athletic build (read was once muscle now just mass) and the shirt felt restrictive in the chest/shoulders... an XL will be too long. It's a shame because I really like this shirt.
