I wear it all winter in NY State with a sweater. Lining works with a sweater so I can move. Washes well.

I've noticed that it blocks the wind well too. Good rain protection as water beads up on the fabric, yet the fabric is breathable and prevents moisture build-up.

Will probably not use this for playing golf, which is what I bought it for. Works well for other outdoor sports such as cross country skiing and snowshoeing, although the jacket length is a tad shorter than I would like.

Although sleeves do not have elastic they do have an interior lining at the ends to prevent cold from sneaking in at the sleeves. I have enjoyed wearing the jacket in somewhat cold (not freezing) temps - provides the warmth I wanted. Lightweight and should work in colder temps with another layer underneath.
