I would not use in early winter as it has no liner, but when it rains I am dry. The sleeves basically remove with one pull to create a rain shirt and re-attach using small plastic buttons. I have had it for one season, so I can't comment on its longevity. I didn't realize how good swinging a golf club would be with it on.
