my specs: 5'10", 175#, medium build. Size M fits well. Two comments: the vest has lower bulk so as not to get in the way...may be less warm, but I couldn't really see myself playing golf in conditions needing a heavier down layer. Second, the armholes are cut very deep, so the edges of the vest armholes never interfere with the swing. Nice construction. Yellow lining is VERY bright.

There was a problem with the zipper on the item I received. It was almost impossible to get the zipper to zip. I finally did, and decided that rather than go through the hassle of returning the vest, I would just use it as a "pullover" and not fully unzip it again. =(

Didn't know it was a golf vest--too thin for cold weather. When I read the tag and saw it was for the golf course I realized that I hadn't read the description carefully. It would be excellent for cool days on the golf course but not temps below 50. It was very nice looking however and I hated to return it.

I was looking for a down vest that has a casual look and this one fits the bill. I bought the large and it fits well. I am 210 and 5'10". I intend to wear it only as a mid layer but if you want to wear it over a heavy sweater go one size up. One strange thing about the vest is you can not find the down fill rating. I have worn it under a windpro fleece and it keeps the core warm. Also there is an inside pocket that zips but once open there is no pocket material just an opening that lets anything put in there to slide around between the outside and inside lining of the entire vest. No doubt a second but for the price on this vest at STP I am keeping it.
