    This is a great short. I like the material and the two side pockets where I can stick a couple of hammer gels in there for long runs. The short fits well except that the legging is a little tight for my thighs. I am 5'-8" and about 170 pounds. I come from a wrestling background and have big legs. I purchased the large and I think either the large or extra large would be ok. I am used to using compression shorts for wrestling so I like the shorter leg length, 6". I am not a fan of the longer tri shorts because they go down to the top of the knee and feel loose. These feel great and the tightness around the thighs is not too bad and will not effect me at all. The price is great too! The thin liner for biking is good too!

    Still not sure about the "triathlete size". Normally wear a medium, can even go to small at times. But this item in large is still on the tighter side. So I have now learned to take that into account. Used couple of times as underwear during skiing. Much better support than standard shorts. Also provides compression in the thighs.

    Bought these shorts at a great steal on sale as all tri gear is expensive. Took the shorts on a 26.3 mile run with no problems. No chaffing and they are a little tight on the thighs especially where the non-slip stuff is but once I got running this wasn't a problem. Haven't cycled in them yet but the pad is minimalistic as I had known so I don't expect much. Do plan on racing in them though.
