Zoot generally displays superior quality in their workmanship, but this particular shirt had an unseemly (forgive the pun) sewing error on one of the seams. It is hard to notice at a distance, but easily seen up close. I elected to keep the shirt since it was a great bargain, and the workmanship flaw does not seem to affect its durability, fit or function. I would recommend to a friend WITHOUT the workmanship flaw.

This stretchy, comfortable singlet has the great feature of a half-zipper that lets you add more ventilation when you get hot. The medium shirt does run ever-so-slightly big (and I'm a 40-41), but for me that's comfortable; I don't like feeling restricted when I'm exercising. Having your shoulders mostly covered is a big plus when you're running in the California sun. I will also use this kayaking. Because the medium is not a tight fit like a rash guard, it might balloon a bit if you wear it during the swim of a triathlon. The length is adequate to cover the waistband of your running shorts, but not long enough to tuck in. The side pocket is handy for gels, a small granola bar, or your keys. Although I am a fan of Zoot Sports wear, I have found that their sizing varies. I have another medium singlet that's not mesh, and its fit is much tighter. In the past, I have had to return a medium Zoot shirt because it was too small. Curious.
