Plates seem a bit heavy but OK. I am not sure how they will hold up to scratches/chipping but I just washed them and have not used them yet. At this great price and free shipping I couldn't go wrong. All in all they are fun, casual and different from any of my other sets and fit with my French Country kitchen. A few plates arrived damaged and STP replaced them...hassle free and in a very timely mannor. Great Service!
