I have noted that women sometimes buy men's cowboy boots to satisfy their nees, and I was hoping that a properly sized women's boot could perhaps be made to satisfactorily fit a man; however, it did NOT work out for me. Theoretically, by foot sizing tables, a 9-C womans boot should be roughly equivalent to an 8-D men's boot, in fact slightly wider. Unfortunately, for the above Lucchese boot, a 9-C womens sized boot was way too narrow for my foot! In addition, I also didn't know that the heel had been downsized for a woman's more delicate features.

Therefore, my attempt to achieve a proper fit and end up with some extremely well made pair of Lucchese boots didn't work out.
For the women out there, these are beautiful boots!! Don't hesitate to buy them if you can find the proper size!!

Based on the previous reviews I ordered my size - but wide since I have a slightly wide foot. They were TOO small. So I exchanged them for 1 size bigger and they fit great! I have a high instep and needed the extra space to get my foot in and out. These are FANTASTIC boots at a great price! Very happy with my purchase.

Wore these boots the day I got them, they fit perfectly! Loved the fact they are made in the USAand the price was about $100. Cheaper than at our local boot store.

Great pair of boots. Comfortable out of the box. First pair of C width flopped a bit on my foot so I reordered. Second pair is perfect, they fit just as my medium width boots. I ordered half size down since they were a wide. Color is beautiful and happy the stitching is very similar in color.

These are just beautiful / well made boots, and in rich brown color. It took a couple of tries to get the right size, and I found I needed to go a whole size down. I usually wear a 9, and first ordered an 8 1/2 C. I almost kept them, but decided to reorder an 8 C, and the fit was perfect. As soon as I slid them on, it was love at first fit. Even thought they're in a wide width, my foot looked slim and sexy. I will definitely be on the look out for another pair of Lucchese boots. These are now my favorite boot. You can not beat the price on STP.
