2.0 out of 5 stars. Could have been a wonderful jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by misbe from Baltimore MD on Sunday, August 12, 2012I really want to like this jacket. It has all of the qualities that I want: slim fit, light in weight, nice styling and is much warmer than it looks to be. Other reviews focus on the tight hood but I don't see that as an issue. The problem, when zipped fully, the neck is cut 2-3" too long. If I don't fully zip the neck the jacket looks weird.
- Cons: Design of the neck
- Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm
- Sizing: Feels true to size
- Sleeve Length: Feels true to length

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great! Size upReviewed by dalto from Baltimore, Md. on Wednesday, July 4, 2012This is top-notch in construction and performance, but you do have to order a size up. I'm usually a Small who finds most Smalls too large, but I had to go to a Medium in this to get the right fit. In the non-hooded version, I can wear a Small if I want it skin-tight, but for this hooded version it was just too tight in a Small so I went up a size. Material is strong and stretchy. Hood fits tightly over your head to make you feel like you're on a commando mission. The hooded version has regular handwarmer pockets in addition to the higher-placed pockets on the front. The fleece lining is not especially soft but it's okay. All in all, it's a great jacket.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Runs smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by JCS from Utica, NY on Friday, November 19, 2010This is a great jacket. I ordered it because 66 North makes quality clothing. If you want something to fight the cold, windy, wet weather, this is it. The jacket, however, runs very small. I usually take an L or even a M in clothing. This L was very tight. I have sent it back.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Top NotchVerified Buyer Reviewed by deHerbert from Arkansas on Friday, November 5, 2010Like all things 66 North, this is built with a European, or slim-fit cut that borders on being small. If your of an athletic build, order your usual size, but if you want to layer more than a wicking shirt underneath this jacket, order a size up.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Emmett from N CA on Thursday, March 4, 2010Much better design than the jacket (non-hood) version. Light weight, but fairly warm. European cut runs small, so size up. Note that hood fits tight, like a cap, for under helmet applications. You'll look like a speed skater if you're not wearing a helmet, though.

4.0 out of 5 stars. 66 North - Glymur JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Air And Space from Baltimore, MD on Wednesday, February 24, 2010An excellent active jacket that keeps you warm and repels rain and snow. However, the hood of this jacket is definitively form fitting, which is practical when battling the elements in the great outdoors, but rather out of place when strolling through town. Overall, though, the jacket is another fine example of the quality products of 66 North.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Nice jacket. Odd hood.Reviewed by TGC from Traverse City, Mi on Sunday, February 21, 2010Firstly, it's obvious that this is an extremly well engineered and constructed soft shell, and felt very comfortable on. I cannot speak to its breathability as I didn't keep it long enough to find out, though having been constructed with eVent it's bound to have superb breathability. What I could not get past was the hood. It fit very snugly upon the head like a softshell beanie and not like a hood at all. It might fit under a helmet though I doubt it, so in the end I feel it to be useless as a functional hood. Because of this I have sent it back.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Unique Jacket - Excellent BuildReviewed by rhody from The Ocean State on Sunday, February 21, 2010This jacket is a unique one and I really like it. First off - the fit is different than others even from 66 North - if you order your normal size be prepared - it fits like a wet suit. I am normally a small/medium depending on manufacturer and I ended up going with the large on this jacket. I love it. The collar is very high and the hood fits like a glove - its perfect alone or as a layer under a shell - warmth is excellent. Pockets are perfectly placed. I originally ordered a medium and am sending it back it was just too tight - it fit but the fit wasn't what I wanted. The large is perfect for me and its still a slim fit. I wear a Patagonia Nano Puff under it and its perfect. The hunter green color is fantastic its a very dark hunter green love it.
