About 66 North 66° North Vatnajokull Jacket - Polartec® Wind Pro® (For Women)
Closeouts. The supersoft hand of 66° North's Vatnajokull jacket may be slightly deceiving, but this jacket is highly durable and super protective. For backpacking explorations or blustery city days, a Polartec® Wind Pro® body and Wind Pro® stretch panels create a weather-resistant barrier without limiting mobility.

Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Siouxsie from Washington, DC on Friday, September 21, 2012This is a great Icelandic brand, and the jacket was terrific on and off. But it runs small, especially in the chest and shoulders, compared to American sizing, so I had to send it back.
- Best Uses: Other Winter Sports, Skiing
- Cons: Runs Small
- Pros: Good fabric, Looks sharp, Well constructed
Reviewed by Dandy like a Dandelion from New York on Monday, August 27, 2012I ordered this, Vantajokull (name of the largest Icelandic glacier), and Esja (name of a mountain in the south-west of Iceland) jackets by 66 North; they arrived today. Hence my observations relate to the fit only, no outdoor tests as of yet. I'm very impressed with the Vantajokull jacket. The fabric (other than the chest and back panels) is very flexible; it stretches with ease in every direction. All fabric (back, front, sides, sleeves) is very fluffy (velvety mesh) inside, hence feels very soft and comfortable next to the skin. While I have not tested it in windy and rainy conditions, I do believe that it will offer a great protection from both elements. I'm also very impressed with the cut of this jacket: it is a little shorter in the body and it flares out nicely for the hips. The sleeves are relatively narrow (that's why they probably appear in the photo to be somewhat long – they may be on a longer side as I have longer arms, and they are very comfortable for me); I like the thumbholes too. The neck part is a little taller in this jacket, it fits me well but it may be a little uncomfortable for shorter necks, then the jacket may be worn unzipped at the neck part. The side pockets have zippers and a chest pocket, made of a synthetic suede fabric, has a zipper too. Contrary to the description, there is no drawcord at the hem. The front two-way zipper is a practical feature. The jacket does not have underarm zips to offer ventilation/temp. control (it would have been nice). I am 34"-25"-36" in chest-waist-hips (this jacket does not reach to my widest part of the hips), US size 4, and size S in this jacket fits me perfectly. I got it in a mystic blue/black combination of colours and I like it very much.
- Best Uses: Outdoor recreation
- Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, High Q Fabric, Warm
