I bought these for my daughter, who supplied the above ratings. She wears a size 9 shoe, and the size M (7 1/2 - 9 ) are still a bit spacious. She said she wishes she had seven pairs so she could wear them every day.

  • “My dad wears a size 10 shoe but sometimes has some swelling in his feet. Would these socks be too constricting for him or do you think they are big enough? His feet get very cold, are these the socks you suggest for him?”
Asked by DD from Illinois on 11/23/2013 9:31:23 PM
    • The size L goes up to a 10.5, so it depends on how much swelling whether or not these would be too constricting. The socks are designed to keep you warm, but there is not a temperature rating on them.

  • “Do these sock wick moisture? Would they work for cycling?”
Asked by kt from CA on 2/6/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • I would not recommend these for cycling.
Answered on 2/10/2011 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • I think they may be a bit thick for cycling. I must own 2 dozen pair and wear them mostly for winter use and around the house. If I do alot of athletic activity, my feet do seems to be moist when I take them off. Hope this helps.

    • no, definitely not good for cycling. Mostly around the house to keep the feet warm in cold winters.

    • Would not work with cycling shoes since they are wide and straight with no ankle turn. I ride. Wonder if you bought a big pair and wore them over cycling shoes---cut out where clears are? Might cut the wind a bit too.

    • These socks are similar to a 200 weight fleece.

    • I believe they are 200. More than a dress sock but less than a slipper.

About Acorn

From humble beginnings handcrafting slipper socks to present-day factory production by skilled craftsmen, Acorn has always had one thing in mind: Comfort. Acorn slippers are so incredibly warm and comfortable that astronauts take them to space and Sherpas pack them along on expeditions in the most extreme of conditions. Acorn sheepskin shoes and boots are naturally breathable, wicking and great for warming chilly feet around the fire or after a surfing session. And while nowadays there are many different designs and innovative features, the constants are the lightweight, soft, and unbelievably cushioned interiors produced using only the finest materials. With this degree of comfort, it’s certainly no wonder Acorn customers are devoted and loyal -- nothing else compares.
