Great for a mud run

I got these a few months ago because I wanted cheap trail shoes for a Spartan Race. The race was this weekend and the shoes performed just as I hoped. These are low end trail shoes. Not a lot of bells and whistles. Very little arch support. The tongue tends to shift to the side. Still, they were perfect for a mud run where you don't want to ruin a nicer pair of shoes. They are fairly light weight. They stay on securely if laced properly. They don't have any specific drainage features but I found that, while squishy for a minute or two after being fully submerged in water, they did shed most of the water and ran comfortably. Grip is good over most obstacles and traction was good on dry, loose, rocky terrain. They weren't working at all for a rope climb but I could only blame the shoes if I had better technique. I threw the shoes in the washing machine afterwards and they cleaned up pretty well.
