Absolutely no shock absorptionReviewed by dpt from USA on Sunday, March 17, 2019I was hoping these Adidas Terrex trail runners would work because there is more room in the toebox than most other running shoes these days (I run in Asics Kayano that are 4 years old because the new trend of sloping toe boxes or material that "hugs" has hammered my big toes). I usually wear a 9 but took an 8.5 in the Adidas Terrex. These run long, but width was as expected. While testing these on a 2 mile walk over variable terrain, my heels started to hurt after mile one. This has never happened to me before. The pain radiated to the ankles and was almost unbearable. There is absolute no cushion in the Terrex; they are like walking on wooden boards.
