Contrary to other reviews, I received the boots WITH the laces. They have plenty of room in the toe box which is really nice. Kinda tight around mid foot when cinched down super tight. Great boot overall. Not sure how long they would hold up to continuous hammering tho.

THE DESCRIPTION IS INACCURATEReviewed by RL from US on Friday, August 4, 2017The shoes you will get in 2017 are like the picture, but the description (and reviews and item#) are of a completely different shoe that STP sold 3-4 years ago. I ordered twice, thinking the first was a mistake. The shoe you will get now is the adidas Fast X High GTX.
I usually wear size 11-1/2 for adidas and the 11-1/2 I got were a little tight. They would work with summer-weight socks but not winter socks. Size 12 worked with thick socks.
They weigh 1175 gm. in size 12. -

The longest pair of shoes/boots I've ever worn. I wear an 11 1/2, these are 1/2" longer than any pair of running shoes I own and almost a full inch longer than a pair of Raichle boots I have. A narrow last, my foot is just barely D width and low volume (read boney), if you have a wide foot or a full figured foot you probably don't want these boots. The lacing system is one of the cable pull type, I have that on my snowboard boots but it can be tightened on the forefoot and then going up the boot. These only have one point for tightening. This sounds crazy but these boots squeak like no boots I've ever worn before. I wore them around the house for several days trying o make up my mind whether or not to keep them - but on soft surfaces they don't squeak. Wearing them on a hard surface like sidewalk, makes them squeak so loud that I could hear my own echo. Never quite experienced that before. I was looking for a pair of waterproof lightweight hiking boots, the jury is still out on these but I would try another brand/model if I had it to do over.
