These just weren't for me. The styling is "off".I normally wear size 7 1/2-8. I hikers or runners, 8 1/2. I ordered the 8 1/2 and they were HUGE. I would have had to go down to a 71/2. Plus the design makes your foot look huge. When I first opened the box, I thought my husband had ordered them for himself. I considered down-sizing but there were none left. Oh well.

My only complaint with these shoes is that I did not buy multiple pairs of them when they were available in my size, so I can wear them for years to come!!! They are stable, have great arch support for my high arches which is often hard to get. I find they are narrow enough in the heal and mid portion of the shoe to hold my feet, yet roomy enough in the toe box for wiggle comfort. I anticipate wearing them on light hikes but mostly at my job in the hospital where I do a lot of walking.

As other reviewers have noted, these run long, but I found them a little narrow across the ball of the foot. They were also stiff - possibly that would have gotten better with breaking in, but I've been spoiled by shoes of another brand that are comfortable right out of the box. Could be a matter of foot shape, since different companies use different lasts. The quality seemed fine, but back they went because of the fit.

I was really hoping the 7 would fit, after I sent back the 8s and they were way too big. No 7.5s in stock; that would have been the perfect size. These are great hiking shoes. I really wanted a spring/summer hiking shoe because my boots are so heavy and hot. The Adidas Terrex Fast X are rated high in comfort and weight and durability and now I know why. They appear to be all as advertised. Too bad I had to go find a 7.5 at another company.

Very solid, well built. I agree with the other reviewer, they run about 1/2 size too big. I don't know if I would order down, but if you tend to be between 2 1/2 sizes, then I would order down. Great coloring, love the styling!

I have been looking for a waterproof hiking shoe that does not come up over my ankle and this one fits the bill. I have stood in creeks with them on and my feet have stayed dry. When walking in rain through fields, the only reason my socks got wet was due to transfer from my long pants that got wet.
These shoes have a very good arch - my arches are high and they fall, so I am actually able to wear these without my orthotics :)
The lacing system is one of my favorites.
While they are fairly lightweight, they are not as lightweight as my Vasque Velocity VSTs. However, I believe any shoes with GoreTex tend to be a bit heavier.
I do believe these shoes may run a 1/2 size large, although they are working well for me.
In terms of width, I wish I could cinch the toe box a bit tighter as these shoes are a bit wide.
I have even worn these around town on a rainy day and they were extremely comfortable.
