Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Pixlchik from Sonoma County on Wednesday, March 29, 2017I've been very happy with Adidas brand shoes in the past - trail runners mostly - so I thought I'd try these out as I was seeking a shoe that would allow hiking/walking/running on some mountainous trails while providing a bit more support with higher ankle coverage than a trail-running shoe for the rocky portions. While this shoe looks great on the design side (I have the aqua-green /purple-blue version), it is really just not comfortable at all. The fit is accurate to size, but there is no cushioning, no "give" like I expected. I've got some leather hiking shoes that give more than these while still supplying structure for the ankle. I don't know why it's so hard for a good running shoe company to make a trail running shoe with a bit higher ankle for those spots on the trail where one can find their ankle turning out, but if that's what you're looking for . . . keep looking.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mercury from Oregon on Wednesday, March 15, 2017I've only worn these once so they still need some breaking in but I took them on a 6-mile hike and they performed great. Only got a little discomfort on the outer parts of my big toes and the ankle support was too stiff but that's understandable for new boots. I'm between a 9 1/2 and 10 for most shoes and went with the 10 and they fit great. Can't report on their durability, obviously, but I found they were comfortable and did well with mud, rocks and elevation changes.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Marybeth from New Hampshire on Tuesday, February 14, 2017This is my second pair, the first aren't worn out, but I find that I am wearing them for light hikes in our local woods because of comfort and footing on the rocky, rooted trails. I also love the lacing system- I find that as my feet warm up, I can readjust the boots to perfect easily. When I saw them again on Sierra Trading, I bought a second pair to have a mountain pair. Love the pink and grey- waiting for spring hiking to start
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Buddy's mom from Nevada on Monday, January 30, 2017Fit well, still figuring out lacing system, comfortable!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by MtMom from Montana on Wednesday, October 5, 2016When I opened the box, I loved the look of these boots. However, I really don't like the lacing system, and when I put them boots on, they were too big. I usually wear 10 or 10.5 - with 10.5 in running shoe. Followed instructions to order same as my running shoe size, but they were just too big. I think they might have been a comfortable hiking boot, but with the lace system, they weren't for me.
