Reviewed by Matt the Electrician from Indiana on Tuesday, March 11, 2014Have long been a fan of Adidas for fit and my foot type so when I needed a new pair of boots for work (electrician) I decided to give these a try. I checked them out and read many good reviews on them and when a decent sale came up I pulled the trigger. These were the most I had payed for boots yet compared to Asolo and Merrell boots I had used before. They arrived and was quite happy with them right out the box as they looked well made and were very comfortable with out much break-in at all. Waterproof seemed good as they kept my feet dry in wet locations and snow. Laces had to be replaced twice as they seemed to wear quickly at the ankle retention hook, but no real big deal as new laces cost a couple bucks. Then I started to notice my feet not staying dry and found where the sole and foot bed began to separate from the boot. This quickly developed into complete failure of the boot and now its time for new boots.
Bought mid September and only lasted till mid February not long enough for what I paid and compared to track record of other brands I've used...
Back to a new pair of Asolo boots sorry Adidas your boots just don't compete!
Reviewed by Ken the Rainbird from Alaska on Wednesday, October 30, 2013This product is by far the most reliable and durable Gortex footwear that I've come across, I now own three pairs as a result. I spend a lot of time in the outdoors where we average 150 inches precipitation annually, hence I've gone through numerous waterproof boot brands, all of which were compromised after a few uses. The Gortex liner has held up through dozens of outings with total saturation. The design of this product enhances its
footbed and ankle stability. The materials in this product show little wear & tear through the abuses I've taken it through. For a lightweight waterproof
hiker, Adida got it right, I highly recommend this product for its support and durability.
Reviewed by pitdoug1998 from Smoky Mountains on Monday, March 18, 2013I love these boots. I've spent a few thousand bucks trying to find something that fits my skinny heel and fat forefoot. I've only done one short hike that was literally an all afternoon affair. The ankle is very rigid so be prepared if your ankle is as skinny and wussified as mine but be patient, it'll come to ya'......
