Awesome waterproofReviewed by STP loyalist in PA from Philadelphia on Monday, June 11, 2018Just went hiking after a big rain and much of the trail was just like a small stream. These shoes rocked!! Dry feet. I use ortho insert and they fit great and aren't too heavy. Love these shoes. And you can't beat the STP price. Will test them further in rainy England for a month of lots of coastal walks and wet moorland hikes.
Great casual hiking shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Edgewalker from Indiana on Saturday, June 9, 2018Love, love, love these shoes for casual hiking of 2-6 miles and moderate terrain! The colors are amazing and the shoe is lightweight and comfortable. Would not recommend for very rocky or advanced hiking conditions though as the soles are vibram, but they are not as grippy as other vibram soles. I have at least 6 pair of these Sugarpines...some low, some high, and a couple waterproof pair too. Happy with every pair I have purchased... No break in required with good socks.
tight toe areaVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nana from Nevada on Thursday, May 24, 2018Returned because the toe area was way too tight.
Amazing Shoes!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Wendy the Photographer from Colorado on Thursday, May 17, 2018Love the Ahnu brand for hiking and this shoe was no different! So comfortable, even right out of the box! The color is my favorite so far and can't wait to do more exploring with these shoes!
.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Karen from Wa on Wednesday, May 2, 2018Fits well. A little stiff or I'd give them 5 stars.
Haven't been able to test then in water or rain yet. I like the looks.
Work/Gardening shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by M.E. the gardener from Indiana on Wednesday, May 2, 2018I have a pair of Anhu hiking/gardening boots. And I like them. But for summer, sometimes I'd like a shoe rather than boot. I ordered these...same size as the boot. The are just what I wanted! Fit right. Stylish. Hold up in wet early morning grass. Reasonably flexible (they are still new). Sturdy enough to offer some protection from dropped gardening tools. Great price!
great shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by YogaDeb from Pennsylvania on Tuesday, May 1, 2018The comfort of a sneaker with the more rugged construction of a hiking boot. I have been pleased with the overall comfort and durability of Ahnu shoes and boots, and happy to find this value.
Question & Answer
Questions about this product? Get answers from community and staff experts.
“Are Sugarpine shoes wider in frot/mid foot than Montara II? I have bunions and Montara II shoes are too narrow where the side stitches are (Sugarpine don't have these stitches). I also have old Montara boots (not Montara II) and they fit perfectly, so they must be wider than Montara II shoes.”
They are about the same.
“How do these fit compared to merrells?”
We do not have any type of cross-brand size chart. However, according to our fit team this item is running true to size.
