Awesome! !Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jeun from SOUTH KOREA on Monday, November 13, 2017I'm really happy because be a user of AKU gtx trekking shoes at the cheapest price. It is very comfortable use in town as well as long distance walking. It's very simple visual but not tired design and goes well together with jeans as well denim clothes.
Great boots !Verified Buyer Reviewed by sore knee hiker from Maryland on Tuesday, November 7, 2017I love AKU boots for several reasons - they are very durable, the toe-box is typically larger than in many other boots, and they provide great cushioning. The Tribute boot also looks good and was comfortable right out of the box. Great job AKU and Sierra Trading Post !
Great fit right out of the boxVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ronald from Hanover, MD on Thursday, September 28, 2017This is the first time I’ve used this brand. The boots are comfortable right away, and look to be extremely well constructed.
Even though the soles will provide plenty of protection in rocky terrain, they are not heavy at all. I will treat the shoes with Nikwax and expect the boots will be very durable.
NiceReviewed by Speardane5 from CA on Thursday, August 31, 2017The soles of my AKU Zenith 2 wore through, and was undecided for a while how to deal with that, AKU is uninformative regarding resole options. I went with these boots as a last minute decision before a backpacking trip. I left for the Sierras 10 minutes after UPS delivered them, so there was no time to assess the fit etc. While not as luxurious as my leather lined Zeniths, these Tributes are built really solid with a mean outsole, despite being so lightweight. I crossed multiple shallow meltwater streams without water spilling inside, and water rolls off the suede, mud seems to flake off quickly also. I had some arch trouble with 55lbs on my back, sharp tarsal pain, which lessened over the span of 5 days. The footbed seemed slightly flat, but my feet are aging, so whatever. I'll get inserts. A very simple boot, built to take a beating.
BackpackerVerified Buyer Reviewed by Backpacker from California on Thursday, August 17, 2017Wow.....very comfortable boot, doesn't need break in time. The boot is very comfortable and gives great ankle support. The size was spot on. It has a toe guard which is an additional great feature. Highly recommend this boot!
FitReviewed by Robber from LA on Saturday, August 5, 2017Quality seems fine but run narrow compared to American work boots like redwing. So had to return.
Look greatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Outdoorsmand from Nc on Friday, April 7, 2017I had been wearing a pair of Asolo leather hiking boots and they fell apart fast. So I decided to go with the Aku boots. I just got them in the mail a few days ago. They look amazing and look well made. So far I'm impressed since they were at such a good price. However, I have yet to wear them hiking yet. I will test them out and try and write another review in the next few months.
Outstanding Hiking BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Purple Griffon from Texas on Monday, March 27, 2017These fitas I expected and as other Italian shoes do. (Which means to me they are not nearly las wide as U.S. military boots but not as narrow as a narrow either). The foot support is excellent and is some of the best I have seen, no matter the price. One thing I particularly like is that the heel and the toe of the boot are rounded slightly so it makes it much easier to walk. These never felt like they need to be broken in. They are well made with tight seams - and look good, almost sleek when compared to some other models.
AkuVerified Buyer Reviewed by BabyDoc from oklahoma on Monday, January 16, 2017Well made and sturdy. Ordered 1/2 size up to accommodate thicker socks and fit is good. Very secure speed lace hardware
Better then hoped for.Verified Buyer Reviewed by JimG from Long Island, NY, USA on Wednesday, January 4, 2017The fit and finish is excellent.
Comfortable from the moment I put them on.
Always liked Gore-Tex and Vibram soles.
Some people commented on them as they look good on.
The laces are actually the correct length!

“Can you please let me know how to care for this boot...
Does it need waterproofing as well as suede cleaner?
(and if so, how often is recommended)
I will be them as an everyday boot just walking around the city, including days when it will rain and snow.
I'd like to order a pair of these boots but I'm unsure about sizing. I was recently in a store (Keen,I think) where the gentleman measured my foot and said my size is about a ten though a 10.5 or 11 is probably best because I want a little room for my toes, especially with hiking boots. What do you think the best way is to figure out my size for the AKU boots? I measured my foot from the toe to the back and it's about 27 cm. Also, if they don't fit can I return them?
According to our fit team this item is running true to size.
Our return and exchange policy can be viewed here: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/lp2/exchange-return/
Go with the 11. These do run a hair small. With boots it's easy to make up some room with thick hiking socks and nice insoles. I usually wear and 11, I got 11.5 and with socks and insoles they fit great. Yes you can return.
“are these shoes may the size of American or European? What size corresponds to 28 centimetres?”
All sizing on our website is in US sizes unless otherwise indicated on the specific product page. 28 cm generally is equivalent to a US 9.5.
