promising for the long haul

Though I just purchased these Italian-made leather boots--and need some more time to break them in right--they definitely feel rigid enough to handle the New England-style rocky ridges. I've always trusted a good pair of Lowas, which seem a tad lighter in a similar array--which I've always preferred for faster-paced days on more quite trails of the backcountry, but the deal if STP on the Alico's were hard to pass up. Now it's time to get those "old" hiking legs in shape in order to tackle those relentless wooded climbs with a toddler in tow ;)! Stay tuned for further update on whether or not these things have the glove fit all said.
