Purchased these boots to go with an old pair of cross country skis i picked up at a thrift shop. I have tried these boots both at the Nortek touring center and in the untouched powder of the back hills where I live. Skiing nearly an 8 mile day at the touring center, the boots seemed to work great in the groomed tracks and gave enough support and control out of the tracks to stop. Making my own tracks in the powder, the boots kept my feet dry and warm. The three pin front lip seemed a little bit thick but after a few times of engaging the binding they seem to fit fine. The boot does seem to run a little bit big, but wearing a second pair of socks solved this problem for me.
